When thinking about the minimum wage I do believe there should be one put in place for all of the state to make it fair, however I believe the amount should and could differ based on the state itself. However, I do believe that a minimum wage was not meant for a family to live off of, but instead as a starting point for someone. That is what bothers me when people who do not work hard and in a low income job complain about minimum wage because it was not put in place to build a life off of. However, I do believe that if raising the minimum wage will have more benefits for the economy than it should be done, but it should not be done if it is simply to please people who are not trying hard enough to do more in their lives.

Once listening to this video I found it really interesting because it made a lot of sense to me. The fact that everything went on with companies to influence people to purchase certain things. I never thought about it like that because I just figured I picked something simply because I wanted it not because I was influenced to buy it. I does not surprise me that companies put this much effort in to get the consumers to purchase certain things but I wish they would do It with the healthier things. I have lately tried to stay on a healthier lifestyle with my eating and find it to be difficult at times because, I assume, companies like the one mentioned that tries to target people to other parts of the menu like desserts. I like the idea of the class to help the students learn more about food companies and what they are trying to do, so they can make better decisions with their eating habits.

I found this topic to be really hard to choose a side. When first thinking about the subject I do believe that teens under 18 year old should be tried as adults depending on what they are being charged for. I do believe the extreme things like murder, rape, etc should be charged liked that because clearly if they were found guilty they knew what they were doing. However, the smaller things I believe do not need to be handled like that because I do believe they are not ready. However, after reviewing this article and video I realized that it could be really harsh because I personally would not know what they are going through. This is a hard subject for anyone who has never been to a place like that. However, after reviewing everything I still believe that maybe they should make a part of the prison for people under the age of 18 and it be ran the same but not nearly as strict. Overall, this is a hard subject to talk about because in the end these people committed a crime and I believe they need to get punishment if they were convicted of it.

I choose to review this one because as a student in school I always choose to drink the chocolate milk over anything else. Personally I believe if these parents and school officials were so worried about children being overweight in school then instead of changing the kind of sugars and other ingredients in the milk they could remove the chocolate milk and put in small bottles of water. I would have always wanted to drink water at lunch but it was also expensive and an up-charge if you chose the water. I believe that is the best step for the problem. I agree that chocolate milk is not something that is positive to sell to children these days with most students being overweight but changing the ingredients by so little will not make that much of a change. What should be taking place is allowing more students the opportunity to have water. If these people were really concerned for the children that is what action should be taken.

I found this to be extremely interesting and find that it should be done in more schools. If schools had more work force classes than I believe that more students would be much happier attending school. Not everyone is meant to go to college and by allowing this kind of education that pairs students with opportunities after they complete high school with jobs will allow more students to better themselves. One of the ideas that this video presents is the idea that if a student is not doing well in high school and they are on a tract for college, but do not want to go to college, then they may drop out and by allowing them to experience something they can do like working in a restaurant for school credit because they love to cook then they may complete school and work harder so they can get that job out of high school. I remember when my brother went to school they offered two tracts, college prep and technical. Students were able to choose which tract they would prefer to go to and now most school just stick all their students on the college prep even if some do not plan to go to college. I find this idea to be more helpful for the students that question why they are doing something in school that they KNOW they will not do in the future. I believe this offers more realistic opportunities for those kinds of students and will build their future much better than just expecting them to follow a typical course that is meant for one to go to college.

{meme2.jpg} I decided to use this (De)Motivational poster for my remix. I used a picture of myself falling off my horse over a jump from a couple years ago. The title is "Show Jumping" because that is what I do and what I was practicing. The caption below that is stating that all one really has to do is stay on when doing show jumping, and in the picture I am clearly not staying on. Anyone who knows about show jumping knows there is so much more to that, but it does not look like that for the person watching (which is the point). This remix is taking a photo of my falling off and stating that it's about staying on and I clearly cannot do that. Though in the picture it is not clear if I will completely fall off and hit the ground or be able to save myself and continue on. The other approach this picture takes is I could just be really bad at jumping and as long as I stay on it does not matter how I ride.
